UX

There is no universally perfect UI, but there are techniques to find the perfect UI for any given situation. UX takes into consideration product goals and user demographics to find the ideal balance of traits for any given interface. Typically this starts with user research, personas, and wireframes, before ending with prototyping. In some circumstances adjustments are made post-launch as A/B tests and other data reveal deficiencies in the UI.

UX is an essential part of the process and continues beyond pre-production. It is a means of holistically looking at software to ensure standardized visual style, good usability, and product management goals are being satisfied.
